Canson 1557 is a fine grain, acid-free paper suitable for studies, sketches and drawing. It is 100% alpha-cellulose, containing no wood fibre. Stock and surface-sized it withstands repeated erasing with no damage to the paper surface (no flaking). It stands out for its pure white colour. The 1557 paper is available in different weights from 120 gsm to 200 gsm. It is sold in sheets or in rolls, under the name of Dessin JA. For pencil, ink, charcoal and pastel.
